How important is your internal rank @ school? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I am curious as to how important your assessment ranks are from school as to how much it would affect your ATAR

For example, I did well in my assessments + yearlies/half yearlies for Senior Science but I know I might not do too well tomorrow for the exam as I've spent all my time on studying Economics

I want to know if having a good internal assessment mark will help me at all if I didn't do so well in the actual HSC exam

Very important, because 50% of your final aligned mark comes from your school assessment mark and 50% is from your actual HSC exam.

Aligned mark = (school assessment mark + HSC assessment mark)/2

I suggest you study senior science unless you're sure it's not going to count....
