It depends on the person really, some may find it easy whilst others may find it difficult.

... you'd need a raw mark of around the mid 60s to get a band 6 (exam mark of course).
Now do HSC past papers, see what marks you're getting, compare your percentage in those tests to the raw mark predictions and you gauge for yourself how hard it is (not entirely accurate due to introduction of MCQ).
