i felt heaps bad after the exam finished but now im feeling better coz every1 seems to have failed!!

so we r all in the same boat cept 4 the 4 unit kiddies...

ARGHH I DO 4U AND I FOUND IT HARD!!! BUT I PASSED HOPEFULLY... HOPING TO HAVE GOT 60%

it's a test ..... to test what you know, not how well you revised past papers.

thats the problem with the hsc, people just learn the past papers. i think its good the BOS are taking a new direction.

i wish theyd asked for a normal hardish circle geo Q.. finding all the angles and using heaps of thms.. the ones i could actually do, not this rubbish...

yeh i agree the aligning will be better for us, to account for the difficulty and lower marks achieved overall.

but that circle geo was pretty straightforward IMO, I used the alternate segment theorem, and then straight line.

I used, alternate segment theorem, then exterior angle of cyclic quad, then vertically opposite. therefore, the two angles equal, hence the triangle is isoceles.

what probability? I just looked through the whole paper and there's no question on probability.

likewise, looking over it, it wasnt as hard as i initially thought but 2unit math, economics and bad sleep got 2 me. only around 65-70% raw, so much for band 6

I too wanted some binomial probability or something more on permutation/combination's. It was disappointing.

Did anyone else notice that Q1 (e) this year was exactly the same as Q4 (a) from 2005, except it was theta instead of x?

I think that's an appropriate indication of the difficulty of this exam.

yeah, I noticed that as soon as I saw it. I think back then, it was a controversial question since normal ext 1 students don't make substitutions themselves, but I guess there's other methods.

alot of the test was quite simple applications

only really got tricky in q 6 and 7

think ill get about 70 raw counting silly mistakes
