I've never read a decent modern newspaper article in my life. The writers try to hard, and fail at life. >_>

Honestly, it's like the style they've all come to accept to be the norm, is fail in and of itself. I like the really old newspaper articles though, they really are engaging, back when journalism meant something eh?

I read the last Harry Potter in one day.
So did another billion people around the world lol. I recall the world's fastest reading time for the last book was two or three hours. Maybe less.

But how can people measure that? Anyone can read a book 2 hours but it's just that they do not understand very well after that.

it depends on the book...it's taken me months to read 'Emma' although that wasn't consistent at all....

usually can read a small print 400pg book in a day.... however that's if i like the book.... ifim not a fan, i usually read about 50-100 pages a night

I can usually read about 100 pages each way on the bus trips to and from school (just under an hour long), which is when I do most of my reading. But it really depends on how interesting the book is, and what distractions I have, and all that. The bus is pretty boring, so I can read a bit quicker there than I normally can.

With school, homework and other distractions I managed to finish the twilight series in two weeks ... but that was just because I got into it so much.
Other less interesting books like English novels take me about a holiday :D
I am dead slow.
