its because the behavioural management theory has team structures,flat management structures and rewards. if u have rewards and these team structures u reduce the resistance to change within a business because there is better communication. Also teh participative/democratic leadership style encourages employee participation in decision making... so like when a change is made employees are aware of it and are less likely to want to protest it? someone correct me if im wrong

Behavioural theory works when everyone is involved, and the rights of the employee are considered. This means that employee issue are addressed when changes are to be made. Because the change is likely to be more complient with their needs, it reduces resistance and makes it easier. Behavioural theory also has strong active lines of communcation, giving employees the opportunity to voice their opinions on the change.

  • Open communication channels means a clear, shared sense of vision can be disseminated to the rest of the business. This in turn means that management can effectively communicate the change process
  • Teams instill confidence within employees in implementing change, allowing a unified approach
  • Reward systems can be used to encourage employees to progress with the change phase
  • Participative style means employees will feel a part of the organisation (have a say in the change process), thus they feel that they are a considerable aspect of the organisation (overcome fear of job loss)
