expose yourself to more questions by doing them, that will help a lot.

btw, get a good strict teacher, and you will do fine. No need for motivation. But once you get near the end of yr 10, it will become interesting.

Also, you say maths is boring due to the repetition. Don't do the same types of questions, perhaps?
