In general, the quality of students in MX1 > EX2. The scaling reflects the calibre of students in a particular course.

I have no idea where it is, but there's a list of how things are scaled (which changes from year to year).

Why? That basically means that the overall calibre of students in 3 Unit Mathematics exceeds the EX2's.
