Could somebody please clarify whether we need to know this. I think we also need to know about lightning rods aswell correct?

 gather and analyse information to identify how transmission lines are:
– insulated from supporting structures
– protected from lightning strikes

Photocpiers no, they were taken out in the cull

the insulator was made of porcelain but i just know they use protecting wire to protect lightning strikes. so is the protecting wire a lightening rod?

Some transmission poles have rods, so in that sense only.

Nah, there was another dot point that mentioned how corona wires are used in Lightning Rods and Photocopiers. I think it's been taken out.
