depends on what aspect of story telling interests you. perhaps things like characters, description of setting, might be good. cos lawson is really good at describing these things.

Basically you need to look at how each story uses techniques to show and aspect. be it the people, the bush as a place or the hardships faced in the bush by the people.
Loaded Dog is a good one to use to look at techniques for mateship nad the dry humour it causes towards the hardships in the bush.
The Drovers Wife is another that uses dry humour to look at hard ships but it focases on the individual.
