ok, this isnt a total dilema yet, coz its for sem2, but i want to work it out soon

ok, heres the go...my faculty only offers one lecture time slot for each of my subjects

on fridays there is a biology one, 12-1, and a sociology one, 12-2

biology has 3 hrs of lectures (all separate) a week, and the 12-2 is the only sociology one.

would i be better to alternate my weeks (biology one week, sociology the next) or should i blow off biology all together as it also has two other lectures which ill be attending a week whereas this is the only sociology one?

nah well see each of those are only available in sem.2

and soca isnt from my degree as such, its an 'approved b' course that im allowed to do

i have to do 30 units from science and then if i want i can do some 'b' courses

i could always drop soca, but i really want to do it.

i would definitely not miss bio, and go to the 2nd half of sociology.

see what i was thinking, there are 3 hrs worth of bio lectures a week, and i would only be missing one
whereas if i missed the first half of sociology i would be missing half the lectures for the week

i would defenitely missa whole biology lecture rather than half of a sociology lecture. In my opinion (and experience) science subjects are much easier to learn from lecture note printouts alone, rather than going to lectures.

oh, and mrbassman there is some MATH2310 stuff up on blackboard now

yeh if you only miss 1 hours of science lecture,, youll be able to grab the general drift from the notes,,, or just get someone to take notes for you,,, or tape it for you,,,, or to video it for you,,,,, or maybe im just going a little overboard now,,,,,

but the biol1110 and 1120 follow most the same labs only a little more in depth

yeah...if i dont kill tim roberts by the time semester is out, i will kill myself instead...i wish he would shut up about the 4 HD's!!!
i had an hour lec of his last night, and i swear to god, every 5 minutes he mentioned something about either him or us getting 4 HD's...and then when he did actually talk about stuff we need to know, he'd mention some tiny little bit, then go totally off topic and ramble...
is he always like that? and are the other lecturers any better?

I take it he's the guy that constantly brags about him not ever having a "real job", and talking about how he travels the world twice a year.. I'm glad I don't have him anymore, I was actually getting sick of not learning anything.

i think he said last year there was 4 people to do it...i dont know if that was in the entire faculty, or just b science or what though.

yep, thats the one. i could handle the 4 HD's talk, as much as it irritates me, but how he just keeps going off topic pisses me off!

fairly uncommon, but defenitely possible if you work consistantly...i just missed out on it second semester..

yeh its pretty rare to get 4 HDs unless you have no social life whatsoever or are a total brainiac
he did the same deal last year and yeh he brags on for ages about himself cos from what i hear his loaded.
but in comparison to john ferguson,,, his sooo much more approachable for questions etc

i thought i was going to murder tim roberts, but ive changed my mind...id prefer to bump hugh dunstan off instead...i think he is the most boring man i have ever met (well i havent really met him, but ya know)
and i have him for 12 lecs (4 weeks!)
im going to jump off a cliff.
