That sucks.

But if you really want to change, go and see either the Principal or Deputy (in charge of your year group) but make sure you have a good relationship with.

Plead your situation, and make sure you say to them that you will get up to speed, and so forth. As long as you learn what you have missed out on they would not say no.

Your subject co-ordinator should know to put personal issues aside when dealing with things like this, anyway.

personally, i think it is now too late to change, but if u can, go for it, but there would be plenty to catch up on, and that me include assessments...

Unless u really hate physics dont drop. 3 Sciences compliment each other pretty well ! The three science subjects have simillar syllabus' in terms of pracs and secondary sources stuff so if u can develop this skill it will help in 3 subjects i.e. 6 units. Besides if u realise that u dont lyk economics then what ?

I agree about the fact that the 3 sciences compliment each other so you can develop you skill. But if you realise you don't like economics, drop it ;)

For me Economics out of all my subjects is the favourite.

if you're allowed to change really depends on your school and yeah most schools do set like a wk 5 limit kind of thing. but its prelims, so they can bend the rules a bit. i mean, i don't see why they should stop you if u really feel that economics would be better. just tell them you're confident that you'll be able to catch up and that you don't want to put your hsc in jeopardy by continuing with 2 units that you're either too weak/dont have confidence/etc. if they still won't budge, then *shrugs
