Hi, I recently completed the NSW HSC in 2005 and my UAI was 89.85. I was given an offer for "Bachelor Arts in Architecture" at UTS and I am currently doing this course for 2006.
I just had several questions in regards to Transfering to B BUSINESS or B BUSINESS/B COMPUTING at UTS for Mid year offers 2006.

- As I did my HSC last year and my UAI was: 89.85, I know that the cut off for
B Business (Full Time) at UTS City campus for 2006 was 89.05 and 84.00 for B BUSINESS/B COMPUTING. So according to this I have the required minimum UAI cut off. But would this be enough to get into B Business if I was to apply through UAC for mid-year applications?

- DOES UAC STILL CONSIDER MY UAI RANK as I am now considered a NON- YEAR 12 APPLICANT or do they go by another mark or equivalent qualification or is the UAI sufficient?

Your help would be greatly appreciated, as I am really confused with this matter.

BASICALLY ON PAST TRENDS WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF GETTING IN TO ONE OF THESE COURSES?

As if leave the architecture club :(

Can't you change courses (almost) hassle free before March 31?
Are you sure about dat cause i thought you had to wait till mid semester to change, i didnt know you could transfer from one faculty to another that quickly?

All i know is that Friday the 31st is the census date for semester one and its the very last day you can drop out or try to change your course without any finiantial repercussions.

I dont know much about it cuz im not planning on changing.

But maybe thats just for UNSW

But then again i know the 10th was the last day to enroll in any semester one courses.

So maybe its possible to drop out so you dont have to pay fees for this semester for a course youre not going to use.
But maybe not.

Sorry ive probably just confused you unnecessarily

At UNCLE, u could transfer internally within the first 2 weeks of semester 1. The Census date Pierotte mentioned is right, but it refers to dropping out without penalty, not transfer. (i've transferred twice in this semester, so i have some knowledge in this field)

Ur uni might allow special consideration if u have a particularly good reason, but otherwise u would have to wait until next semester.

haha oh noes ... sif wanna leave the uts arch posse? :( what dont you like?

who are you anyway? you must identify yourself at uni!!

and yeah, i think everyones kinda answered your question anyway ... if you apply for mid-year, they will use your uai alone, if you stay the whole year and do 48cp technically they should use a combo of uni marks/uai ... but im pretty sure uts only uses uni marks if they're > uai.
