This is the home page http://community.boredofstudies.org/ it provides many distractions such as the News, Current Affairs and Politics forum.

This is the NSW HSC forum New South Wales (HSC) - Bored of Studies and it has a general 'School forum' for random stuff and a 'General discussion on the 2009 HSC' and the 'Preliminary HSC' which are just random things that people ask such as questions about school work or how ppl are enjoying the year etc...

The other forums are named after their respective subjects and thats where you should post questions you have about school stuff

When you go into one of the forums you can search the forum or post a new thread by clicking the appropriate button that is adjacent to the 'Threads in Forum heading'

Extra features:
-When you click on names you go to their profile page where you can leave 'visitor messages' for them and view basic info about them.
-Beside every post there is the persons name, hsc year, gender etc... also in this box is a green square, this represents your amount of reputation points - you can give rep points by clicking the little picture of scales (inbetween the circle and the warning sign) you can then choose to give positive rep or negative rep

anyways hope this helps some how and welcome to the Bored :)
im sure you would've figured this all out anyway :)

Careful, this brief outline on the reputation system especially applies to new members:

Members with only -rep i.e. red boxes representing their reputation (see conics2008) are only able to give neutral rep.
New members and maybe inactive members are only able to give neutral reputation as well.

Often this will be disappointing when one approves of your post
e.g.

However it may be an advantage to you if someone disapproves of your post and the situation is likely to become humourous.
