care to elaborate? what aspects were disappointing..?
Gladly,

Well, the lecturers and tutors are substandard....this is an understatement.
They run/teach courses poorly, are not organized and just rush through everything.
They are late with marking your assessments and provide little to no feedback.

The Business Faculty is a joke...the new ASB building doesn't have any computers for student use and the ones that are available in the Quad are usually occupied because there aren't enough to go around.

There's plenty more but I don't want to turn people off from going to UNSW...I'm sure there are lots of great things about UNSW as well. I just haven't discovered them yet..:p

I guess I just had high expectations but they were dashed...:(

yeah but CSU is not really a realistic option for most people due to logistical difficulties.

As others have mentioned you should firstly consider the course structure and what the course offers and then consider the location of the uni and whether your willing to move (if you have to).

Which uni in NZ is your course offered at? I'm guessing its either in Auckland or Otago? I'm moving over to Auckland to do another degree in 2010 once I've finished my current degree. I love Auckland and considering its my hometown I'm definitely looking forward to going back.

Its offered at Massey university at the Auckland campus near Albany though. Its 10 mins from my dads house! it would be such a big effort 2 move there and im thinkin if i hate it im stuck there for 4 yrs

it's just as logistical to go to orange or wagga as it is to go to newcastle or canberra

well, that's true but places like Canberra and Newcastle are more well-known so people feel more comfortable about it.

ahah...Let's not forget that I'm at UNSW for the " prestige" factor and also, I don't think any other unis offer my triple major.
