I started off doing the Preliminary course in Legal, came top 3, but i am really getting sick of it... i don't like it :S i already study modern, would they let me do a swap from legal to ancient???

it seems so much more interesting. i enjoy, and am good at writing history essays.
would i be able to handle it without prelim?

i don't know whether to stay or try and go :S

Help! Opinions...experiences...advice!

Edit: see it ought to be possible, as outcomes for both History courses are (same) ?..it's happened before

well, ur supposed to have done the prelim but yes they can let you and they have for some people in our school that didn't do the prelim for a subject, it just depends on your schools policy, u'd have to talk to the heads and stuff

Most likely they won't allow it.

I remember when I started off Ancient Prelim- there was alot of content we covered from the very beginning, I dropped it for the HSC because I was overwhelmed by the workload. Also keep in mind that modern and ancient tend to have assessments in the same period of time.

BoS requires that the principal certify you as having completed the Preliminary course. I believe the deadline for filing Prelim entries for 2008 has already well and truly gone.

Besides, I hear Legal gets a lot better when you do Crime.

I don't think they'll let you change at this very late stage in the prelim course.

Legal does get ALOT better in the HSC course, crime is much more interesting and the options are generally more interesting too (depends what your school does).
