okay, so I know scaling is a complete load of shit (completely unfair public schools are competing with private, but thats another argument) BUT I have NO IDEA what to drop!

Okay, so, I currently do 12 Units:
English Standard (ranked 1st, currently on 90%)
Ancient History (ranked 4th, 85%)
Biology (75%)
PDHPE (90%)
Studies Of Religion 2 (92%)
General Maths (60%)

Next year I plan to pick up History Extension so after I drop something I'll be on 11 units.
I KNOW I am not doing so great in maths but thats because I've had the idea ever since subject selection in year ten that I was going to drop it so I put no effort in ALL year.. but now I want to drop bio.

I absolutely HATE biology SO much, despite doing better then I am in maths. I actually like maths, and I know if I apply myself I can be achieving 80+ in my exams. Prelims are just around the corner and I am certain I am going to fail bio because I've learned nothing all year and I'm only achieving 75% thanks to google.

If I keep maths, how much will I be scaled down? Will I get scaled down HEAPS because I also do standard english?

Will I still be able to achieve an 80+ ATAR?

Is it true that you have to do EXTREMELY WELL not be scaled down? How much is extremely well? band five?

thanks omg

Sounds like you should keep maths, but you have to push your mark up otherwise it will drag you down.
And if you keep rank 1 for english, it will have little/no effect on your atar.
