Directly from the syllabus :
In conjunction with the above syllabus requirements, students will need to keep a record of
major project developments. As they occur they should be noted by the student overseen by
the teacher. The log should contain the following:
• description of procedures
• description of sequential development of the topic
• record of major decisions of the project
• cumulative self-review and peer review, teacher evaluation of the project, and record of
interviews

it is important to include details about:
• from whom and from where the information was gathered
• over what period it was gathered
• why these sources were chosen

Use the logbook to your advantage. Write your thoughts down, record ideas that pop into your head. I've had a few entries where I started off with one sentence in my head, wrote it down, continued from there, creating a snowball effect resulting in a thousand-word entry. It was useful to my project, to my thought process, and to the logbook process. So just put down anything YOU think is useful to YOUR project. Whatever it is.
