If what I'm reading what you want to do correctly (i.e you want to med sci research), I know people that have done it from both. I.e ex mod Survivor39 did BMedSci, Masters of MedSci and ended up doing a PhD at Cambridge atm in some really fascinating immuno responses. Conversely, I've known people from Adv Sci to do the same as you can major in areas aligned to going on to further study in med sci areas. Only difference is you have a bit more flexibility in Adv Sci if you shift your science focus a bit. Also, adv sci you can double major, so you could do the first adv major one of the offered adv majors and then the second more medsci. MedSci is a bit more 'locked' but you still get electives.
From what you've said though, I'd strike Chem Eng off imho.
