Help Building Dc Motor (1 Viewer)

HI, my assesment is to build a simple DC motor and i made the electromagnet with 400 turns but i was wondering how much turns of wire i must do for the armature.

it doesnt really matter..... i didnt even count how many when i made mine.... just dont have only 1 or 2 coils

Try to have a fair few turns in ur armature so that it can rotate comfortably.
With more turns there is a greater force on the armature to turn.

I just did a 'beakman' style but changed it and added an iron core

we just put 342 metres of .25mm wire on our armature. We havent finished mounting the bearing housing or the commutator. We are making the commutator out of brass with a nylon insulator in the centre.
