I have 2900 posts, but I have custom status?

(I just noticed it today).

Wasn't it 3000+ posts? Or even 5000 posts?

Is there something going on?

I was 'Rambling Spirit' but I've been given Custom Status, even with 2900 posts?

(Or is this an Admin's present? )

I knew this Ragerunner, but I have to clarify a few things:

To be eligble for Custom Status, you have to have been:

1. Registered before December, 2002
or
2. Have 3000+ posts.

Now, I was asking because I do not have 3000 posts (as yet), but I had previously lost my Custom Status because I just missed out on keeping my Custom Status as I had registered on the 20th December, 2002, thereby missing out by 20 days.

I hope you understand what I meant

(Custom Status had been removed during the period whereby users would be receiving Custom at 800 posts, Lazarus intervening and Non-School posts were removed, uproar followed and the postcount was then reinstated for all users, with subsequent posts in Non-School being 'worthless' (from a postcount point of view, as they would not be counted towards the member's overall postcount)

Basically what am I trying to say?

I lost Custom before, because I hadn't been registered before December 2002 (being 20 days late) and I had discovered that I re-gained Custom, out of the blue?

OR are you trying to say that "all members who have registered before 2003, no matter if it was Jan 2002 or Dec 2002 (for example) are eligble for Custom Status" given that their registration date has been (almost) 1 year?

I'm just a little perplexed as to why I have Custom Status, since I was under the impression that you would need:

a) 3000+ posts, any registration date
b) A registration date of pre Dec 2002, with 800+ posts (as of a few weeks ago, before Lazarus implemented new "Member Levels")

Free Custom status without having the required number of posts or having registered before Dec 2002.

Maybe they just thought:

"He's almost at 3000, and he was only 2 weeks late in registrating before December, and he's a cool guy"

Hasn't it always been like that?

Either you have:

1. 3000+ posts and have registered your BOS account/member details at any time

OR

2. Having at least 800+ posts AND you have registered BEFORE December 2002.

OR

3. Being a Moderator, thereby cutting through all the red tape and getting free Custom Status.
