ok, this is a math question my teacher gave me its really stumping me, dont laugh

x^2 + y^2 +2fx +2gy +c = 0
what is the radius, center and what are the conditions on f g and c.

i get the first two parts, but the conditions part stuffs me up...any advice???? thanks in advance

Completing the square is a basic method. You should have no problems doing it ^_^

ive done that lol....but i cant find the conditions on f, g, and c
it rearanges to give : (x+f)^2 + (y+g)^2 = f^2+g^2-c

the conditions part is killin me
the whole right side cant be less than 0...should it be cannt be equal to or less..or just less

and c cannot be bigger than f^2+g^2...any others dudes?
