Hi, for these dot points

Ergonomics
effects of prolonged use of software, including RSI and injuries created by overuse
procedures to prevent and minimise injuries
ergonomically designed and placed equipment
ergonomic issues regarding software design:
acceptable response time in software
user friendly software, including:
- ease of use
- appropriate messages to the user
- consistency of the user interface

I wouldnt have to talk about how cts occurs. I.e. the medical side. Would I?

No you wouldn't however you should be able to distinguish between CTS and Tenosynovitis, as they differ a bit.

Tenosynovitis is inflammation of the lubricating sheath surrounding all tendons. This condition can occur to any tendon. In the case of carpal tunnel syndrome, tenosynovitis occurs to the sheaths surrounding the tendons within the carpal tunnel. As the carpal tunnel is composed of bones it cannot expand very much. Hence restriction occurs and pressure is exerted on the nerves servicing the fingers which results in the numbness experienced by CTS sufferers. CTS is the most common form of RSI.

In essence tenosynovitis within the carpal tunnel results in CTS. Tenosynovitis being caused by overuse of the tendons.

In my view you need to understand this to be able to comprehend how CTS can be avoided or its symptoms minimized. For example using a wrist brace ensures the carpal tunnel is held at an angle that allows the tendons to move more freely through the carpal tunnel. Using anti-inflammmatory drugs helps to reduce the inflammation in the tendon sheaths, etc...
