It shames me to know that our good Labor men and women are going to have to win the next election by arguing something as rediculous as the Libs' failure to keep interest rates down, rather than force government change through the real issues.
Politics isn't about the real issues. It's about telling the people what they want to hear so that they can stay or get into government.

all you people who talk about others you dont know are scums,
i know the habibs and no there not terrorists, if the man was then why did they let him go,
and as far as the money goes, seriously if u think about it for just one sec..... 3 years of the guy getting tortured in prison for no reason, and also 3 years of his family living without him, growing up and providing money for themselves and wasting 3 years is not worth any amount of money
plus why do u think they paid him money, so they can play with the interview however they like and he cant say anything, if u watched it carefully youd notice that it was all cut scenes put together, some tv propaganda to get ratings, it happens with every story

I'm scum for discussing things about people I don't know. Maybe history shouldn't be an HSC subject.
If he's guilty then maybe you're scum for associating with him.

They couldn't possibly do that. That would be completely against their ethical standards.

I don't know exactly what he was suspected of but you can't doubt that he raises serious suspicions and America would be irresponsible if they didn't investigate him.
I don't however think it's fair that somebody can be locked up indefinately without being charged. That just flies in the face of our accepted legal system.

if u follow whats happening in guantanimo, youd know hes not the first to be freed without any charges,
theyre over 500 poeple being held there, americans caught them for SUSPICION and couldnt find any proper reasons to keep them there, so now theyre releasing them slowly...very slowly

suspicion is bullcrap, if i suspect you of being a terrorist, it doesnt make you one.
its just an excuse so they wont look bad infront of the whole world

Ok so they shouldn't detain people that they suspect are terrorists?
detain then and charge them instead of detaining them for 3 years and torturing them
