haha, i just used those same to poems for my assesment 2 weeks ago.
i said that they use the power of the memory (clearly emphasised in bother poems, especially violets) and how it helps her relise the transcience of life and the coming of death. She also reflects on the fundamentals of human life.
I mainly focused on the power of the memory though.

HELP HERE!!
I was just wondering, when doing the critical study of Harwood 's poems, we study her contexts (which I get) and our contexts-which I dont get and need help with.
What do they mean by 'our context'?

For example in this question I was asked:
Consider the current context (including, but not limited to, your own personal one). How would this be likely to affect the way the poems are perceived today?

lol, ive never seen a question to specify talking about your personal context
umm, id suggest you look at the values presented in the poems and how they have changed today, for example, the position of women in society or something
and you said you know about Harwoods context, so talk about how the values have changed in todays society
hope thats some help...
or maybe how we view death differently today, or deal with it in different ways

It is a relatively fluid concept.

If I recall, it is about the value the text intrinsically possesses (created by her poetic techniques, structure, etc. and evidenced in the multitude of readings that lay throughout her individual poems, and so forth).
