Season 2 has already aired and finished airing on Australian TV. I think you meant to ask about season 3 in which case Channel 7 haven't announced an air date I am aware of but rest assured it will be sometime next year.

hey anyone remember that scene from the snow patrol video clip which shows the intern doing some sort of orientation tour of the seattle grace? was that the pilot? did ch7 ever air the pilot 'cos I don't seem to remember that scene from the first episode at all...

Yep that was from the pilot. Yes Channel 7 did air the pilot they also repeated it several times at lunch time so I have seen it at least 3 times.
