I've had it before many times and it doesn't have any taste and is not worth the money. Only time I had it was when someone else paid for it or already set down in a banquet with family. I'd rather have a nice cut of steak than that BS.

Yeah, to be honest it taste pretty crap, taste like vegatable rather than meat. Oh well it's a once a year thing for me anyway, it's usually part of the package deal in Cantonese restaurants. Hopefully they were sourced according to Australian law.

Err... all animals suffer when they are turn into food...
Most animals aren't exactly delimbed live and chucked back into the environment. It's like hunting a bear for its claws and leaving it for dead.

I read on more about shark finning in Aus and even the dept of agriculture and fisheries have no stats whether or not the fins are sourced in aus or overseas. I hope resturants in aus follow the trend of resturants in Taiwan and cut down on eating shark fins.
