graduation songs- HELP!! (1 Viewer)

hey everyone...

2 weeks to go till graduation... wooooohooo....

does anyone have good suggestions for graduation songs for the final assembly? whats everyone doing?

its sooo hard to come up with a song that everyone in the grade can agree on... pop? grunge? alternative? R&B? hip hop? rock?

suggestions please!!!!

theres a thread bout grad songs in the entertainment section...
so theres some suggestions there

but at my school we're using 2 songs..
we're singing 'no such thing' by john mayer and some yr 12's are playing the music and we're also playing 'dont you forget about me' from the breakfast club movie.......

hmmm....vitamin C's song and time of your life are both great songs but a bit too cliche... i think we'll prob have a mix of
time after time, friends theme, you don't own me (the theme of first wives club) and yesterday by beatles to make everyone happy... its gonna sound heaps weird all mixed together in a 10min track but oh well...

I'm the Flop (that's the year 12 revue at our school) organiser so I probably should know. As far as I know we have:
That 'I've had the time of my life' song from Dirty Dancing.
And 'Dammit' by Blink 182 played by a few friends and I with the grade singing along.

Fuck I love that song. It's just so...teenage!

Vitamin C - graduation just came to my head when i saw the title . It's easy to sing along, and..

or you can go sing the australian national anthem..
or even the hampster song will do
Maybe sing "fat cop" at the teacher

last yrs yr 12 did time of your life- they can't sing(yr 12 i mean, not greenday)...
we might do the "we go together" song from grease which would be fun with all the "do bah doby" parts!!!

I suspect our school grad. theme music will be either;

We are the champions - Queen

or a medly of tv themes, simpsons, inspector gadget and some others. The latter has been done at the last 2 grads i've seen so i'm guessing its more likely then the former.
