GPA? WAM? Credits? Distinction? (1 Viewer)

I'm enrolling, this year, in Science/Law at UNSW but I really have my heart set on medicine (didn't go well in the umat). At UWS I need a GPA of 5.5 and I'm not sure but I would as it is even higher for UNSW, but I'm confused about what marks a GPA of 5.5 equates to. I hear all this talk about credits and WAMs and have no idea about any of it

7- High Distinction
6- Distinction
5- Credit

Therefore a GPA of 5.5 is in between a credit and distinction. Look at the Transfer Sticky. Frigid provides a great explanation.
