Just wondering what the hell it means to get a GPA of 5.5?
so that that equates to 2.75/4 per semester? what kind of marks does that equate to.
with credit point averages, does that mean u can say pass a subject, get a distinction, and aslong as it averages out to be a credit your still all good?

Yes, as long as it averages out, you're fine. A GPA of 5.5 is basically half way between a credit and distinction average.

basically

HD =7
Distinction=6
Credit=5
Pass=4
Fail =0 [ thx kagura for correcting me :D]

so u divide the total by the number of units you complete

for eg.

first year u do 8 units...and get like 4 Pass and 2 HD and 2D

so [(4*4)+(2*6)+(2*7)]/8 = [16+12+14]/8 = 42/8 =5.25 GPA

hope it helps
