Sadly, I doubt that MMM has played either of those great bands. They seem to have a playlist comprised of about 150 groups or thereabouts, but thats commercial radio for you.

Some other good 'rock' songs that won't be heard on MMM. (And generally not on JJJ either)

At The Drive-In-Arc Arsenal.
Pixies-Letter To Memphis, River Euphrates, Hey.
Unwound-Corpse Pose, Scarlette.
Sonic Youth-Kill Yr Idols, Teenage Riot, Sunday.
Pavement-In The Mouth A Desert, Grounded, Silence Kit.
Joy Division-New Dawn Fades, Dead Souls.
The Clash-Clampdown.
Radiohead-The Trickster, Optimistic, There There.
Jeff Buckley-Vancouver, Nightmares By The Sea.
Augie March-Song In The Key Of Chance

Yes... but sometimes better songs aren't mainstream.

I normally find out about them from my friends or just stumbling across them by accident..

Dave85 - You might like Jeff Buckley. Try "Last Goodbye", "Everybody Here Wants You" and "Grace".

Manufactured songs are just crap that you can sing along to on the radio in your car because you dont have a cd player...

a good song is more than just the *fluff* the radio has on all the time.

Because I Can.

I listen to different types of music that represent my mood, because a good song can "get" you and be expressing exactly what your feeling, so its kinda a reinforcement of how your feeling.

The crap on the radio is just your stereotype music, if you want more you have to listen elsewhere.

its all your own interpretation. You could be sitting there thinking "this person is full of shit, those songs suck ass" and you are right, your right for you. For me i dont think they are manufactured crap cause i like them. ;)

Anyway some of the songs other people have listed are really good!

You seem to have something against people in this thread listening to this sort of music.
