Yeh was thinking about the $2500 MacBook Pro, that looks and sounds amazing, but im kinda not used to Mac, so that would take a while but no biggie i guess!!

Um Where would you get a set up like that for $1100 and btw not the biggest fan of Dell so im kinda steering away from them!!
Any other suggestions, Is toshiba any good?

Well from personal experience, Dell > Toshiba, but sure.

I'd still go for a Mac. I jumped from a Dell Latitude (which I still have and use for various apps that haven't been ported to Mac.. like Zoo Tycoon ) to a Macbook Air, with only a few bumps in the learning curve.

I'd go for a Macbook over a Macbook Pro unless you REALLY need all that juice.

What're you going to be using it for? This is the primary question you should be asking.

Gaming? General purpose? Desktop replacement?

A $400~ netbook will have a 'good run' for ages, most laptops will. And yes, that machine is overpriced.

Thanks people, I think I'll settle for a Macbook Pro, I guess Mac is better for Video editing and refining, which is the main purpose. A desktop replacement in any of the Windows machines would start to get rather heavy and this also causes portability issues so a Mac fills all the criteria.
