I'd like to have a job that's chemistry related when I grow up, and I'd like to stay in Sydney. I seem to love all aspects of chemistry (especially chemical reactions, studying chemical bonds, why compounds the way they are, properties of compounds, how molecular structures affect properties etc.) Are there any awesome professions related to these that have good scope in Sydney? Also what degrees should I take (if I get into uni) for that profession? I know that some top notch chemistry goes on at the Ansto reactor and there is some pharmaceutical company at a Western Sydney intersection that connects to the M4/7 (can't remember) and has a Formule 1 motel nearby. I'm not even sure if these surroundings are correct, but there was some pharmaceutical company with an awesome looking building and company name in big blue lit letters (can't remember the name :S)

So any tips for a typical y11 chem lover? :D

The only place that I can think of that you would like is as u said, ANSTO in lucas heights. (You can't do work experience there though [my friend tried to do it but they don't allow people Any more... ])
But you obviously don't have to think about you career now, year 12 chem is actually putting what you learn in year 11 to use, so maybe that may help you.
i.e. year 11 chem is what something is, year 12 chem is what something is used for (kinda...)

From the work we've done so far, I'd agreed with this.
