Just prove you've been in Australia for less than 2 years and apply for ESL. Scales better than Advanced.
Absolutely positive.kadlil said:Are you sure? my teacher said that only 2 people have ever got band 5 in standard in 5 years what a liar, makes standard SO MUCH more worse
Not many people get good marks in English Standard because most bomb out in the AOS exam where they go up against the English Advanced people. If you can ace the AOS, then you will be likely to get good marks in it altogether.^CoSMic DoRiS^^ said:why is it so hard to get good marks in standard???? i dont get it somebody explain
Ah that makes sense, thanks for clarifying that. ^^Always said:Riviet, students don't get band 6's in Standard because a band 6 student would not be doing Standard English.
I agree. I hate it when ppl say how hard it is to get a good mark in standard eng and use the lack of ppl in standard eng getting band 6 as an example.Always said:Only 2 people have ever gotten a band 6 in Standard but around 2% get band 5's.
I think around 10 students from my school got a band 5 in Standard last year so there's definitely more than 2.

I don't think you add it upBookie said:Damn.
What does this thing mean anyway? Do we just add these points onto our score? cos that'd be heaps mad
I'd have [2003 stats];
MX2 +18.9
MX1 +14.8
Economics +6.0
Physics +5.3
Eng Advanced -1.6
and hopefully; Cosmoslogy +17.1
If you read the stuff at the top, you'll find that these figures are just the scaled means minus 25. (e.g. the scaled mean for Mathematics Extension 2 in 2003 was 43.9/50)Bookie said:Damn.
