i personally stay away from airlines as investment as its such a capital intensive industry with high competition and low margins so if something happens (im looking at u covid) the company is gonna not do very well. just look at virgin
Virgin Australia was a poorly managed airline well before COVID - consistently recording losses from 2011 till 2019. Bankruptcy was bound to happen and Covid just catalysed it. Yes Qantas plunged in stocks in 2020 but people who invested in QAN in 2020 have now more than trebled or even quadrupled their investment.

yes. but depending on your strategy, that may be a good or bad thing to do. if ur trading and want high risk high reward go for your life but airlines are not for long-term investment

I think QAN is different since they’re launching 24h nonstops Sydney to JFK/LHR from 2026 which will give them a significant competitive advantage for a long long time to come, increasing their value
