And damn them for changing BLE textbook. I haven't sold mine yet ~_~

Something tells me I'm not going to like this semester..SDP..ASR..CMS :bomb:

I'm getting at least one of my textbooks second hand :D Hopefully I'll save $40 or so there.

Yep. I took a gamble yesterday by lining up in the line when the power was off. Even that line reached the UTS Building 1 entrance.

Had to wait 1 hour in line, but I had time to waste anyways. I got my BStats book now.

There's practically no line at the coop if you get there before 10am.
I still cant decide whether to buy the si chemical data book or the medical dictionary which are even more of a rip off than the textbooks.
Came late to my first lab cause of those train delays.

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Start of Autumn Semester' Thread

Every time I go past the coop shop and there's a line of people trying to buy books I think to myself what a bunch of crazy people, lining up just to buy the damn book.

But I guess first years are excited and think they need to buy all the books they are told.

My 3rd year now and from day one I started UNI. I give it 3 weeks let those *crazy* people buy their books and then when it's empty walk in and buy the book I need.

there are some subjects where getting a textbook is definitely recommended, ie chemistry, physics, where lecturers usually set their readings and exercises from.
yes textbooks are getting expensive, but you could always sell them in the end, even though the value from when you bought it would be lost....but that would be inevitable

If i knew you, you could borrow my SI data book for the year as I don't need it  I don't think you will necessarily need the medical dictionary ;)

Yep. The trusty iPod. Unforunately I didn't have any food though... popcorn would have been nice.

I believe Co-op's open at 8am in the first weeks of uni.

I was 30mins late to my 9am lecture. Apparently there was a dead body on the Chatswood line. Totally screwed up the North Shore line.
