Grasped nothing in the lecture. It also seems that we are not going to have Upass in programming , which is pretty dangerous....:bomb:
The subjects that have U:pASS sessions are here: http://www.ssu.uts.edu.au/peerlearning/register/index.html; so unfortunately there are no sessions for Programming Fundamentals.

I'm suprised they already canned the sessions for it, because I met around 3 leaders on the U:pASS training day back in February- and they all got sessions last semester. There isn't even one this semester..

Okey.
Pete Wells seems to like rugby too. Although, it looks like he goes for a rubbish team like the All Blacks.
Wellsy is taking FSA this semester as the normal lecturer is on maternity leave.

Just when I thought I was over the All Blacks / Auckland Blues jokes as well...

Yeah, I heard that from a friend who is doing FSA this semester too.

Mind me asking, is there a reason why you chose FSA over Corporate Reporting?

Mostly, I chose FSA because I wasn't all that keen on doing another ASR theory like subject (although by no means would I suggest ASR is totally a theory based subject). I just tend to like numbers and I thought FSA would be able to hold my attention a little better due to this fact. As I work in tax, neither subject is of particular importance to my line of work, however some valuing knowledge never goes astray.

Also, as an added bonus, FSA snuggled perfectly into my timetable this semester.

i decided on FSA for exactly the same reasons as cone. ASR made me weak at the knees.

Oh ok. I never really looked into it at all because I don't need to make the choice until next year.
I don't know anyone who has done or is doing Corporate Reporting at all.

^ corp reporting isn't actually that bad
Actually from reading the handbook it does look like an ASR-y subject.
I've completely hated the first two weeks of ASR honestly.

Seriously, PW could be even worse than FP.

geeze PW worse than FP? that's a pretty damning comment on PW! i never thought he was nearly as bad as FP, but his lec slides are just about as useless as FP's (maybe even moreso). ASR was by far my least liked acocunting topic so far (i've still got MDC, FSA and audit to go).

good luck :)

Yeah, I think the lecture notes are complete rubbish. They don't give you any direction at all in answering the tutorial questions nor even thinking about them.

FP's lecture slides had like rubbish in every second slide, but at least his content slides were ok.
