Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

Looking through the test, it didn't seem so difficult.

Unfortunately, I completely messed up my time management. I didn't have the time to complete questions that I am sure I could have done.

How did everyone go?

How did everyone go in that?

It was MUCH easier than I expected...

Adding up all the marks I was certain about I got 90/120...

Which would be awesome :)

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

I agree, the exam wasn't overly too difficult although there were a couple of questions which I couldn't do.
I think this is how my exam will turn out
Question 1: 13/15
Question 2: 11/15
Question 3: 15/15
Question 4: 15/15
Question 5: 10/15
Question 6: 9/15
Question 7: 9/15
Question 8: 10/15

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

omg i thought the paper was going to be so damn hard considering how easy

2006 was, instead 2007 paper was merely same difficulty, if not longer

i do think i got a minimum of 90% :)

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

1. EPIC FAIL - that's how my effort can be described.
2. WOOOHOOO, NO MORE EXT2 (at least until next year at uni), IT'S ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE BABY!!!!

I flew through the first 3 questions in under an hour, and then I spent like half an hour doing each part of the other questions :p

Question 8, I skipped the entire thing. Skipped most of question 7 as well.

Did most of the questions in 4-6. I seriously wish I studied volumes by shells more last night. Oh well.

I am confident that I can get 30% raw mark. Hopefully that will scale well >_>

Heaps easier than most papers apart from last years. I won't know what my mark was until solutions are posted up, but i think i managed 110+ raw depending on how many stupid mistakes i made.

Not so much difficult....just exceedingly long. I didn't get a chance to have a go at 7 or 8 =(

yes, i found it really long as well, but question 7 and 8 were very doable compared to some years.

revised my prediction. I'm not sure about 110, but i'm pretty certain i got at least 100.

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

I think it was comparable to last years in terms of difficulty but still a lot easier than previous ones. Hopefully i managed >105. Also why was there so much conics if they are planning to get rid of it. I thought it would have been the other way round.

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

wow, it was alot easier than previous years...
i was able to get out most of it, except the second last one in question 8 and the question 7 conics question (i hate conics) ... the only other one i sorta made up a answer for was the V^2 of the rain, that one was tuff :(

but yer... hopefully over 100

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

yep, too easy. easier than my western region trials, and thats supposed to be easier than hsc.

attempted every question, compared most answers with my friends already. got at least ~3 mark off so far. but i have many dodgy word answers that im not confident about. just hope none of the ruse people get near full mark, cos i think that is definitely possible.

my prediction, 15 full marks from the whole state...

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2

I loved it :D

Im not an awesome 4 unit student, but i think i got about:
1- 15
2-13
3- 15
4- 13
5- 14
6- 13
7- 11
8- 1
approx. 95/120

Didnt get up to the last question very much grrrr......

But had a look at it and i doubt i would have got much more anyway....

All the best guys :D
