No - all responses are marked to a common standard. They're never harsher in marking to a particular option.

Well that's true there's no harsher standard but what I meant to say was there's an inherent bias against those options - whether or not that's expressed in the markings is dependent on the marker. My teacher told us that man/myth and private/public is considered a weaker option since there's essentially no debate; it's accepted that despite being President, JFK had a reckless private life incl. all his womanizing etc.
