Did you mean this? E 0.06 - x = 0.02, 0.05 - 0.5x = 0.03, 0.04

If so, not quite because the reaction is 2SO2 + O2 -----> 2SO3

You should write: E: 0.06 - 2x = 0.02, 0.05 - x = 0.03, 0.04

Ah, I didn't imply they were crap :p

I just think drawing a table and working it out like that, then writing your equilibium constant and subbing everything in is easier than the algebra *shrugs*

sigh. i hate chemistry.

no of course not :p
that's what I got taught to do but the stupid success one book answers did this and I thought I had gone wrong.
join the crowd mate, my UAI is pretty much in the bin...
