Just looking over 23(c), I don't know why they include that, Hire Purchase Agreements are against the law under the Credit Act.

Question 23
(b) (i) You need to do compound interest:

  A = 50,000(1+0.031) to the power of 5

(b) (ii) You need to convert the percentage and rate to months:

  A = 50,000(1+0.0025) to the power of 60

I'm not sure which question you are referring to for "25 (iii)"

Question 25
(b) (i) 13 hours 20 minutes

(b) (ii) 8:20 a.m. Saturday

(c) (i) 3.4 x 10 to the power of 16

(c) (ii) Difficult to write, but... √(A/π ) + r

(c) (iii) 1.65 mm (to 2 decimal places.)

Question 26
(b) (ii) 1.66 (to 2 decimal places.)

(c) (ii) Using the points (40, 30) and (80, 50) on the line, subtract 50 and 30 for the top line, and subtract 80 and 40 for the bottom line, giving 20/40 or 1/2.

(c) (iii) y = mx + b
Therefore, G = 1/2A + 10

Question 28
(a) (i)A = width of gutter x height of gutter

Now width = 28 - 2x and height = x

Therefore, A = (28 - 2x) x x
which = 28x - 2x.

no the enlargement factor is 4? Q25 (a) (i) (2)?

because 50/20 : 200/80 making it 4? whoever said it was 2 is definately wrong
