In terms of probabilities, (numbers wise) it is harder to get a Band 5 or Better in General Maths (5.65% + 20.23%=25.88%) than it is to get an E4 In Maths extension 1 (34.38%) based on last years numbers that were published on Board of Studies.

Im currently ranked 4th of 116 in General, with my school on average getting 10 Band 6s a year. I just wanted to know how possible it would be to get 93 in General, raw marks wise.

How about you just aim for 100% and if you are good enough on the day to get 93, then you will get it.

Thanks for that advice D94. I try to aim for 100% but usually get 93% ~ and lose 2 or 3 marks of a test. Because General scales so badly, I just wanted to find out well one must do to get a mid band 6. But reading this thread I think thats around ~ 88-90 in the HSC exam

Your concerns are genuinely beyond your control, so it's better to focus on gaining those 2-3 marks than pondering over other things.
