A farmer has 1 km of fencing. He wishes to fence off an area for his goats. Discuss, with relevant calculations, the different options that he has, and suggest the best option for him.

Is it really as simple as it sounds? I think i may be looking too far into it.

Any kind of help would be appreciated.

I think its asking what is the largest area you can enclose for your goats? So you could make a 250mx250m square, or a 1km circumference circle or say a 400x100m rectangle etc. So just calculate the areas for these and make a conclusion.
