I'm pretty sure that you do need to know the functions of rod and cone cells as they are photoreceptors and are hence major parts of the eye, although the syllabus doesn't specifically state it, but then again, I guess rods and cones could come under "investigating the structures and functions of the eye."View attachment 40811
Do we needa know specifically the functions of rod and cone cells for new syllabus? I only know it for the outcome that says about treating eye disorders (they distinguish colours and if they bad, they cause colour blindness).
