A rather tame safe sex ad has been pulled after a complaints campaign by the Australian Christian Lobby.

Many of the christian complaints seem to argue that nobody should have the right to advocate things which offend their world view.

Ms Francis [said] she objected to the sexual nature of the ads, not the fact the couple pictured were gay.

"They show two young homosexual men in some sort of act of foreplay," she said.

"It's talking about a sexual act and I don't think that's appropriate for the general public."

Could think of worse things to put there other then two fully clothed men with a condom.

Many of the christian complaints seem to argue that nobody should have the right to advocate things which offend their world view.

This is quite accurate; and on numerous occasions it will occur and unfortunately continue to occur. The ad was perfectly reasonable; sure it's provocative to a very subliminal extent, but that would only really be understood by those who are old enough to even know what sex is and what it involves.
I thought the ad was going to be rather effective. I'll lobby for it to return, in the hope that such spite might get the Christian lobbying groups fired up again.
