Q. Each time a competitor shoots at a target he has a 0.2 probablity of hitting the target. He has five shots at the target. Find the probability that:

i. he hits the target on the first three shits and misses out on the other two

ii. he hits the target on 3 out of the 5 shots

I know how to do part ii, but I can't get part i. The answers are below.

A. i. 0.00512 (how???)
ii. 5C2 * (0.8)^3 * (0.2)^2 = 0.0512

1/5 * 1/5 * 1/5 * 4/5 * 4/5 = 16/3125 = 0.00512
