Hi everyone,

Just wondering...is there anyone else who hasn't actually read the book?? I planned to read it initially but couldn't find the time. Does it help to read the whole book or is it fine to just have a good understanding of each extract??

I didn't do French Extension, but I have tried reading 'Jean de Florette'. I didn't finish it, it was too hard and annoying referring to the dictionary every ten seconds. You could try watching the film instead as apparently it's really faithful to the book. Also, have a read of this site-

Hey,

I'm doing ext too. We were lucky in that our teacher photocopied an english translation of the whole book for us, which I read a few times.

But other than that I wouldn't worry. As long as you know what happens, it should be fine.
