YAYAYAY just finished

there are no footnotes in part 1

and no precedent is binding in the house of lords except statutes.
any common law developed by the house of lords cannot conflict with articles from the european convention though

I agree. I don't see how any citations would have been needed for part 1, anywhere.

*shocked* have you people even looked at the end of page 1 of the assignment!? '1 mark will also be awarded for expression, structure and compliance with formal requirements (especially citation method). I thought this was pretty obvious, especially since we were blatantly stealing information from the case to anwer the questions, and should pin point (and thus acknowledge) as to where we got the information from (I had 62 citations for part 1). Even the example answer to one of the above cases (in my previous posts) noted how they hadn't used proper citation. :| Well it's only 1 mark so doesn't really matter...

Are you talking about paragraphs or what?

Or facts? I seriously don't think you need to cite where the facts came from.

Um, you can write paragraphs simply in numbers. Or in the second part with "para".

PS we were told cattanach v melchior was completely correct (in style).
PPS citation doesn't necessarily mean only footnotes.

I thought that you were claiming that we didn't need citation at all. I had the impression that we could write 'the paragraph number' next to the information or as a footnote. Is that wrong? :( eep...

PS I wasn't equating citation with footnotes.

Yeah that's right, is that what you did?

I'm just confused as to whether you mean the footnotes you used were to note paragraph numbers where relevant.

Yeah, I used footnotes to pin point the paragraph number relevant to what I was referring to. Is that wrong? :(

Our class was told the overall av. was 70%.
is it a coincidence that it's the same as the average for the 1st assignment?
