hey,

does anyone have an idea of how many words an average forty minute essay would be? i'm just typing one up and seeing how much i should elaborate on points. thanks!

I average about 1000 words. On a good day, 1200.

Our teacher expects us to write 4-ish pages, but most people get 2-3 pages.

based on a legal task i did last term i worked it out to be about 1000 words writing furiously without stopping

if i really rush, i could probably squeeze in ~1400 - but the writing gets really horrible

ummm...about 3-4 pages in 40 minutes? (900-1100 words)

Hi guys I had an english exam today, I'm just wondering if you wrote in the inside cover would they still mark it. The reason I did because I was running out of time and I didn't have much to write left so I wrote like half a page on the side with no lines. Do you reckon they would mark it, I even indicated with an arrow and page number saying that my last part of the story is on the inside cover.

Around 1200 which means 30 minutes per minute. 100 of these words should be used in your introduction, another 100 in your conclusion. Then, divide the rest up by the amount of texts you will be talking about.
