For my assignment we had to choose one sector of the AFI and l've chosen food service and catering but l can't find anything on the consumer influences on food service and catering.

any information would be helpful and appreciated??

consider how fast take-away places are, or the type of establishments that exist such as subway etc.

Try some things like;

Increased women in the workplace= less chance of home cooked meals= take/dine out.

Busier lifestyles= less time to spend preparing meals more dependent on the food service and catering industry

Consumer has Increased awareness of health problems like obesity= the food service and catering industry needing to produce more health foods eg. maccas deli choices.

Consumer has less money in tough financial times= the food service and catering industry having to provide budget foods or deals. Eg kids eat free or maccas cutting costs of soft serve ice-cream.
