What units would you recommend taking for first year law/arts? and also how many law units should i do and how many art units? i'm majoring in politics and international relations

You should do one law subject and three arts subjects per semester in your first year. So that would be Foundations in semester 1, and Crim in semester 2. Pick whatever arts subjects you want to do, but be aware that certain subjects may be prerequisites for future subjects, so check your course handbook to make sure.
